Dog Stabbed

Mount Vernon Police District – Animal Control officers were called to pick up a dog on Friday, June 29 in the 3500 block of Rolling Hills Avenue at approximately 9 a.m. Cane, a 15-month-old white Pit Bull, was found with injuries to the left side of his neck. A veterinarian determined the injuries were consistent with a stab wound.
Officers are now searching for who may have stabbed Cane.
Unable to pay costs, the owner turned Cane over to the shelter. Costs will be defrayed by the Fairfax County Animal Shelter and Friends of the Fairfax County Animal Shelter.
