Man Charged in Daycare Molestations

Mason Police District – Police arrested a 28-year-old Annandale man who lived on the premises of a home daycare facility on June 7 and are now receiving other reports from children alleging inappropriate sexual touching while they attended Happy Land Daycare.

Elwood Lewis “Louie” Thomas, of 6412 Holyoke Drive in Annandale was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery. Police were notified of the allegations after receiving a report from a 14-year-old girl who alleged that Thomas had inappropriately touched her on numerous occasions when she attended the daycare between the ages of 11 and 12.

The daycare has since closed down its operation.

The daycare operated for several years and the investigation is continuing.
