Robbery in Huntley Meadows Park

Mount Vernon Police District - Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery and assault that occurred Thursday, December 6.  Around 11:14 a.m. a 18-year-old woman was jogging inside Huntley Meadows Park, near the South Kings Highway/Telegraph Road entrance when she was assaulted by two women. The suspects knocked the victim to the ground, assaulted her and stole clothing and a cell phone from the victim. The victim was able to escape and flee from her attackers. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The first suspect was described as Hispanic, 15 to 25, 5 feet tall, heavy set and wearing all black. The second suspect was described as Hispanic or black, 15 to 25, 5 feet 6 inches tall, medium build and wearing all black.
