Robbery in Mount Eagle Park

Mount Vernon Police District - Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred Monday, February 4.  Around 7:40 a.m. a 23-year-old woman was walking through Mount Eagle Park, between Richmond Highway and Huntington Avenue when she was assaulted by a man. The suspect struck the victim and took cash and property from her. The suspect then fled on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as black, in his mid-20’s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing between 190 and 210 pounds, and wearing a black hoodie.
