Fair Oaks and Reston Police District – On Sunday, March 10, at approximately 10:45 a.m. detectives arrested Victor T. Ellis, 25, of 7100 Fairchild Lane, Alexandria, and charged him with burglary, entering a vehicle to commit a crime, and petit larceny. This came after Ellis allegedly fled from officers in a vehicle at approximately 6 a.m. and led them in a pursuit which began at the Fairfax County Parkway and Leesburg Pike and ended in a crash in Loudoun County. Ellis evaded capture until he was seen by officers in the Herndon area where he was taken into custody.
The charges were in regards to a burglary that occurred in the 3600 block of Great Laurel Lane in Fairfax on Saturday, March 9. A resident reported she was sitting in the kitchen when someone entered the home. He allegedly stole a purse and fled. A K-9 team and the helicopter assisted in searching for the suspect, but he was not found.
