Man Shot in Landmark Area

Mason Police District - Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday, May 3.  Around 2 a.m. a 21-year-old Washington D.C. man was walking through a parking garage in the 6100 block of Little River Turnpike, when he was approached from behind and shot in the upper body. The victim did not see the suspect but reports hearing more than one person flee on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital and currently is in stable condition.

At this time this appears to be an isolated incident. The investigation continues.
