Woman Assaulted


            Mount Vernon District – A 23-year-old woman reported that a man attempted to rob her and that she was sexually assaulted after getting a cup of coffee at 7704 Richmond Highway on Sunday, May 26.

            The incident took place as the woman was approached at her car by a man who displayed a knife and demanded money at around 8:30 p.m. He then reportedly sexually assaulted her, she screamed and he fled.

            The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his late 30’s, with a narrow face. He was between 5 feet 6 and 5 feet 8 inches tall with a thin build. He wore a blue baseball cap and a light blue hoodie.
