Taxi Driver Robbed

Franconia Police District – A 49-year-old taxi driver was reportedly robbed by two men, who may have been in another taxi, in a parking lot in the 5500 block of Cherokee Avenue. The robbery took place at around 2 a.m. Friday, June 21.

The taxi driver noticed a green Ford Crown Victoria driving slowly near him. The driver and passenger of the Ford got out, produced pistols and demanded the victim’s belongings. He produced them; they took the items and fled in the car.

The victim then observed that the car that the suspects were driving appeared to be a taxi.

The suspects were described as black, in their 20’s, and wore black clothing. One was approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and the other was approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, around 180 pounds.
