 Woman Robs Bank in the Vienna Area

Same Woman Suspected in Two Bank Robberies

            McLean Police District – Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Saturday, July 20 at the United Bank, located at 2071 Chain Bridge Road. Around 11:26 a.m. a woman entered the bank and approached a teller behind the counter. The woman passed the employee a note demanding money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the bank.

            Detectives believe this same suspect may also be responsible for a bank robbery at the Bank of America on Monday, July 15.  

            The female suspect in these bank robberies has been described as black, 30 to 35 years old. She is about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 150 to 170 pounds. She wears a blonde wig and carries a Coach purse. Surveillance cameras captured photos of the suspect and detectives are hopeful someone will recognize her.
