Police Investigate Bank Robbery in Tysons Corner

McLean Police District – On Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at approximately 3:15 p.m., two men entered the Bank of Georgetown located at 1850 Towers Crescent Plaza in McLean. One of the men jumped over the counter and demanded money from a bank employee. Upon receiving the money the two subjects fled the bank on foot. There were no injuries. Subject one was described as a black male wearing a black mask and carrying a black plastic bag. Subject two was described as a black male wearing a black mask and a dark colored jacket and carrying a handgun. One subject was described as wearing a hooded sweatshirt and the other was described as wearing a black baseball cap. Both subjects are described as being in their 40s. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of these bank robbers. The FBI and the Fairfax County Police Department are investigating this bank robbery and request that anyone with information call the FBI at 202-278-2000 or the Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.

The police helicopter and a K9 team responded to the area.
