Robbery at BB&T Bank in Fairfax


Fair Oaks Police District – On Wednesday, October 30, 2013, shortly before 4 p.m., a man entered the BB&T Bank located at 12220 Fairfax Towne Center in Fairfax. The man passed a note to a bank employee, demanding money and indicating that he had a gun. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash and nobody was injured. The suspect was described as black, in his mid-20s, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt pulled over a baseball hat and gloves.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robber. The FBI and the Fairfax County Police Department are investigating this bank robbery and request that anyone with information call the FBI at 202-278-2000 or the Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.
