Police Seek Public’s Assistance in Finding
Shooting Suspect
On Saturday, March 3 around 10 p.m., a man was shot as he stood inside his home in the 7500 block of Dunston Street in North Springfield. The 23-year-old man was sitting on the porch when he saw a car drive by slowly. The man went inside and looked out the window. The car had turned around and again drove by, this time a passenger fired several rounds into the house. The victim was struck in the arm and transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Investigation revealed the victim and suspect were acquaintances. Warrants for maliciously shooting to kill, maliciously discharging a firearm at an occupied building, malicious wounding and possession of marijuana have been obtained for Dwayne Selman Neville, 20, of 7080 Leestone Street in Springfield.
