UPDATE – Police Ask for Help

Identifying Bicyclist

             The identity of a bicyclist killed on Saturday, July 28 is still not known. Police have exhausted all leads and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him. He was Hispanic, about 18 to 21 years old. The victim was between 5 feet 3 inches and 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighed approximately 130 to 140 pounds. He was wearing camouflage shorts, a dark, green shirt, a dark hat with the words “Todo Por Nada” on it and red, Converse tennis shoes. The bicycle was a red Mongoose with rear trick pegs.

Bicyclist Dies

            A man was riding his bicycle northbound on Ox Road in the area of Lee Chapel Road on Saturday, July 28 at about 1:45 a.m. A 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix was also going northbound on Ox Road. The car struck and killed the bicyclist. The identity of the victim is not known.

            The driver, Keith Terrell Slay, 18, of 6138 Shiplett Boulevard, Burke, was charged with reckless driving.
