Sunoco Robbed in Centreville

            The Sunoco gas station at 14010 Saint Germain Drive in Centreville was robbed on Tuesday, October 30 at approximately 1 a.m. Two men, one armed with a shotgun, entered the Sunoco, demanded money and struck the victim with the butt of the gun. They fled in a car with cash. A citizen alerted officers to the incident who quickly responded. The victim, a 26-year-old Centreville man, was able to provide a description of the two suspects and the car they used to flee. The victim was not seriously injured.

            Officers searching the area stopped the vehicle and suspects on Westfields Boulevard at Sully Road. Monroe Marshall, 18, Temple Hills, Maryland and James E. Tyer, 25, Oxen Hill, Maryland were arrested and charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a sawed-off shotgun in the commission of a crime. Tyer was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Nadia Childs, 20, Temple Hills, Maryland was driving the car. She was arrested and charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a sawed-off shotgun in the commission of a crime. All three were transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
