DWI Directed Patrol Results
In Mason Police District

            Fairfax County Police Officers from around the county conducted DWI directed patrol to deter and apprehend intoxicated drivers on Saturday, November 17, from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. Sunday. Motorists stopped for suspicion of driving while intoxicated were checked to assure that their abilities to drive had not been impaired by alcohol or drugs. Approximately 27 motorists were stopped. There were no arrests made for DWI. Nine traffic summonses were issued, as well as 20 warning tickets for various minor traffic offenses. One criminal summons was issued. Eight officers and one auxiliary police officer participated in the checkpoint.
