Arrest Made in Hotel Robberies

            Fairfax County detectives and tactical officers took a proactive approach to two recent hotel robberies. Their efforts resulted in the arrest of two men on Wednesday, November 21 in the 6800 block of Springfield Boulevard. It was believed that the same suspects were responsible for eight similar robberies in the City of Fredericksburg, Town of Warrenton, and Hanover and Spotsylvania Counties. The stake-outs, at seven different locations in Fairfax County, were conducted to specifically apprehend the suspects in two Fairfax County hotel robberies. Information shared by detectives from all involved agencies was critical to the planning of the stake-outs. The Fairfax robberies were at the Comfort Inn at 8180 Silverbrook Road on Monday, November 19 and at the Hilton Hotel at 6550 Loisdale Road on Tuesday, November 20.

            Adam Lee Blain and Thomas Edward Brown, both of 1406 Caroline Street in Fredericksburg were each charged with two counts of robbery. Blain was additionally charged with two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and probation violation on a misdemeanor charge. Both were transported the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
