Two Men Arrested for Abduction in Tysons
Two men have been charged with abduction with intent to extort money.
During the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 21, Fairfax County Police received information that a 20-year-old man from China had been abducted during the evening of Tuesday, November 20, by two armed men wearing masks. The suspects allowed the victim to place a phone call advising of the abduction and the $500,000 ransom demand.
A Fairfax County Homicide Detective, accompanied by a Special Agent of the FBI, followed investigative leads to the Stratford Motor Lodge, located at 300 West Broad Street in the City of Falls Church. During the evening hours of Wednesday, November 21, the detective and the agent, assisted by officers from the Falls Church City Police Department, found the victim, who had been bound, gagged and held in the bathroom, in one of the rooms in the motel. The suspects were also found in that room. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Guan Yu Lu, 19, of 1709 Jefferson Park Avenue #4 in Charlottsville and Bai Chuan Shu, 19, of 583 Brandon Avenue in Charlottsville, were both transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with abduction with intent to extort money.
