DWI Directed Patrol Results

 

            As a result of this operation, 118 vehicles were stopped. Fourteen people were arrested for DWI and four of those were also charged with refusal to take a breath/blood test. There were five additional criminal charges placed and 56 miscellaneous traffic summonses issued.

 

DWI - Directed Patrol in Mount Vernon District

 

            Fairfax County police officers assigned to the Mount Vernon Police District Station will conduct DWI-directed patrols throughout their district to deter and apprehend intoxicated drivers. This will take place from Sunday, November 18 through Saturday, November 24. The patrols will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 4 a.m. Motorists stopped for suspicion of driving while intoxicated will be checked to assure that their abilities to drive have not been impaired by alcohol or drugs.
