Fatal Crash in Lorton

 

            A 54-year-old Fairfax Station woman succumbed to injuries she received during a single-vehicle crash on Thursday, December 6 at 10:04 a.m. Marlene M. Piccio-Azarcon, of 8418 Cardinal Rose Court, was driving a 1997 Toyota 4 Runner eastbound on Lorton Road and lost control after apparently hitting a patch of ice . The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway near Ashland Woods Court, struck a brick wall and then a tree.

            The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

            Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in this crash.
