Fake $100 Bills

            Members of the Retail Anti-Theft Team in the Mount Vernon area arrested three men on Thursday, December 6 for using fraudulent $100 bills. The investigation revealed several $100 bills which were found to be counterfeit. The suspects are accused of using these bills to purchase a few items and receive change from the store. They also allegedly used wigs and fake moustaches to conceal their identities. The victims in this case are the Marshalls store at 6700 Richmond Highway and the Target store at 6600 Richmond Highway. There were no injuries and the investigation continues.

            Scott M. Spinella, 41, of 1177 Raven Circle in Camden-Wyoming, Delaware, Chad H. Simonsen, 22, of 1708 Hourglass Road in Hartley, Delaware, and Owen S. Davis of 430 Brenford Road in Dover, Delaware were all arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. They were each charged with four counts of forging bank notes and four counts of obtaining money by false pretense.
