UPDATE – Homicide Victim Identified

             The victim of the homicide on Saturday, December 15 has been identified as 24-year-old Miguel Angel Herrera Maldonado, of 2321 Fort Drive in Alexandria. Autopsy results indicated that Herrera died as a result of stab wounds to his upper body. The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with any information about the homicide to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477 or Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131.

Police Investigate Homicide

            Fairfax County Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 2300 block of Fort Drive in the Huntington area. Police were called to the home on Saturday, December 15 around 11:30 p.m. and located a man dead with apparent upper body trauma. The identity of the man is not being released until next of kin can be notified. Preliminary investigation revealed the murder was not random.
