Who is entitled to copies of
crash reports?
Only those listed on the crash report are eligible to obtain copies of police crash reports including:
- Individuals involved in the crash
- Injured persons
- Property owners
- Attorneys and/or insurance agents representing the driver or property owner
How can I get a copy if I am one
of the above?
- Make requests in writing to: Central Records 10600 Page Avenue, Fairfax, VA 22030
- Make requests in person between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to Central Records, located in the Police Annex at the above address or to the district police station in which the crash occurred
Are there fees for obtaining
a crash report?
- NO fee for drivers, property owners or injured persons.
- All others must pay a $5 fee by cash, credit card, money order or check made out to the County of Fairfax.
How can I get
police photographs taken at the crash scene?
Not all traffic crashes are photographed by police. If police took photographs, they are available for purchase to:
- Vehicle owners and drivers
- Attorneys or insurance companies representing the owners and/or drivers
- Injured persons
- Property owners
Where can I get
police photographs from the traffic crash?

Are there fees
