Burglar Caught in Springfield

                Officers were called to a burglary in progress on Sunday, June 12 at 5:40 a.m. to the 7100 block of Calamo Street in Springfield. There were several adults in the home when a 50-year-old woman woke up to noises from a downstairs room. She proceeded to investigate and saw a man walk out of her house with a television in his hands. She yelled to the man who put the television down and ran away. No one was injured.

                Oscar Abad, 21, of 15081 Concord Drive, Woodbridge was found nearby by responding officers. He was positively identified and arrested. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with burglary and grand larceny.
