A select group of officers, known as the RAT Team (Retail Anti-Theft), is assigned to patrol shopping areas within the district in search of those who may be attempting to steal from retailers and shoppers.             You may notice these officers, or you may not. Some are uniformed and in marked vehicles in order to deter crime and promote safety. However, many times they are patrolling on foot, posing as an average shopper. They walk around in stores and in parking lots. Their goal is to ensure the safety of shoppers in our area and the safeguarding of property.             Please call 703-691-2131 if you see anyone behaving suspiciously.
