Fairfax County Police Department Update to Red Truck Incidents in Franconia
Investigators at the Franconia District Station would like to thank the residents of this district for their vigilance and communication while they continue to research the incidents involving red truck sightings, and the suspicious events near Clermont Elementary School. The investigation is ongoing and detectives are attempting to link information from various reports. No crime has been reported to date. These cases serve as a reminder that it is always good to review personal/home/child safety tips with your family. Any questions regarding security advice should be referred to our Crime Prevention Officer, MPO Jim Reid at FranconiaStationCPO@fairfaxcounty.gov. Officers in the Franconia District will continue their increased presence in residential areas. We ask that if you observe suspicious people, vehicles or activity of any kind, please write down or photograph license plate information or any other descriptive factors, if you are able to safely, and call our non-emergency number immediately at 703-691-2131.
