Detectives Investigate Additional Burglaries

Detectives in the Alexandria section of the Franconia District are investigating recent residential burglaries and attempted burglaries occurring on weekdays, during daytime hours, between February 13 and 21, 2012. The incidents have occurred in the following areas:

  • 6900 block of Rolling Creek Way
  • 6400 block of Castlefin Way
  • 7400 block of Collins Meade Way
  • 7900 block of Old Carriage Trail
  • 5100 block of Ballycastle Circle

At this time, it has not been determined whether the same suspect(s) are also involved in a similar series of cases still under investigation in close proximity to these incidents.  The burglar(s) have stolen jewelry, electronics, and money from the homes.  Detectives are urging residents to call police regarding anyone suspicious in your neighborhoods.  If safe to do so, photograph the suspicious person or vehicle, especially the license plate, and make the call!

Detectives are continuing their investigation. Police ask that you remain vigilant and call Fairfax County Police at 703-691-2131 if you see any suspicious people, solicitors or vehicles. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Solvers by phone at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477, e-mail at or text “TIP187” plus your message to CRIMES/274637. If you would like more information about crime prevention or would like a free home security survey, please contact MPO Reid at or call the Franconia Crime Prevention Office at 703-922-8263.
