DWI Checkpoint – Results

The officers of the Franconia District Police Station with support from Auxiliary Officers conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Friday, March 23^rd from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. on northbound Backlick Road at Highland Street. Approximately 660 vehicles were screened. We are proud to announce there were no DWIs!

Citations were issued for possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and allowing an unlicensed person to drive. Four summonses were issued for persons who were driving while not licensed.

We would like to thank all who passed through the checkpoint for slowing down, and for their cooperation and patience while at the site.
