Fax 703-719-6436 www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/stations/franconia Date Released 04/10/12 Contact: Brooke Wright / 703-922-0889 Information Bulletin: More MCS Inspection Results   More Dangerous Trucks Removed from Highways             Seven more trucks were taken out of service on Saturday, March 31 from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. by the members of the Motor Carrier Safety Unit for the Fairfax County Police Department.   One truck alone had over 22 safety violations and took more than 2 hours to inspect.             As you can see from this tire PFC Morris is pointing out, these vehicles put others in danger when not maintained properly.  Enforcement efforts will continue in order to keep the roadways as safe as possible.              ###  To request this information in an alternate format, call the Franconia District Station at 703.922.0889.  TTY 711
