Fairfax County Police Department Officers Assist Partners for Safe Teen Driving Presentations
As part of the new requirement for juvenile licensing, parents and juveniles must attend a 90 minute traffic safety presentation. The presentations are often given by Driver’s Education teachers in Fairfax County. Often, a School Resource Officer will attend and assist. On April 30th, MPO Gleason attended Lee High School’s fourth seminar of this school year. He was able to address some of the common safety hazards encountered by new drivers, as well as answer questions from attendees. All of the high school Resource Officers in the Franconia District take part in these presentations and are happy to meet parents and answer their questions during this exciting, yet concerning new venture in their child’s life.
