Fairfax County Police Department Franconia Investigates Peeping Cases – Can You Help?
Officers at the Franconia District Station would like you to be aware of reported peeping cases in the area. Since the areas and suspect descriptions have been quite vast, it has been difficult to identify the perpetrators. Officers and Detectives are asking you, the citizens of our district, to assist us in this venture. What can you do? Simple, just make the call. We are asking that you immediately call 703-691-2131 if you are seeing something that just does not look right. Sure, it may be normal for someone who works shift work to take a late night walk. But they usually stroll down on a sidewalk, not behind houses or apartment buildings. If you see someone looking into a window, or attempting to open it, please call 911 and alert us to the situation. The incidents have occurred in the following areas:
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Solvers by phone at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477, e-mail at www.fairfaxcrimesolvers.org or text “TIP187” plus your message to CRIMES/274637. If you would like more information about crime prevention or would like a free home security survey, please contact MPO Reid at James.Reid@fairfaxcounty.gov or call the Franconia Crime Prevention Office at 703-922-8263. ### To request this information in an alternate format, call the Franconia District Station at 703.922.0889.
