Fairfax County Police Department BBs Used to Cause Thousands of Dollars in DamagesBetween May 14 and May 17, officers at the Franconia District Station took reports from residents of the district in reference to over 35 vehicles being dented or having windows shot out with BB guns, during the overnight hours. Officers and Detectives need assistance with information. We are simply asking that you make the call. Immediately call 703-691-2131 if you see something that just does not look right. Most vehicles that enter a neighborhood at night stop to park or drop someone off, however, a slow moving vehicle that does not stop, may be an indication that there is criminal activity afoot. Please note vehicle descriptions and license plate numbers, if possible. If it appears that someone may be shooting some type of weapon, please call 911 and alert us to the situation. The incidents have mainly occurred in residential areas between Beulah Street and South Van Dorn Street.
