Fairfax County Police Department New Franconia Station Information OfficerPolice Officer First Class Brooke Wright will be the new Franconia Station Information Officer. She is replacing PFC Eddy Azcarate effective January 28, 2012. Captain Shawn Bennett, Franconia Station Commander had this to say about the change, “Communicating effectively with our Franconia communities is a basic service which provides an invaluable return on investment for our station. A special thanks to PFC Eddy Azcarate for his work in this position over the past year and as he departs Franconia for a new job at headquarters, I welcome PFC Brooke Wright as the new Franconia Information Officer.” PFC Wright will maintain the Franconia Police District Station homepage, continue to post news releases and provide stories of interest reference the Franconia Police District. She has been with the Fairfax County Police Department for 12 years, all at the Franconia Station. She spent two years as a School Resource Officer at Edison High School. She was the first Domestic Violence Detective here at Franconia and held that position for two years before moving into our Criminal Investigations Section (CIS). PFC Wright was in CIS for four years and recognized for her work 2010.
