CRIME SUMMARY

July 10-16, 2011

Larceny, 6400 Block of EDSALL RD, 7/11/11. An individual reported that his work van was broken into and several tools were missing; no damage to the vehicle.

Larceny, 7400 Block of ESTABAN PL, 7/11/11. An individual reported that his car was broken into; a GPS and a federal work identification card and parking card were stolen.

Larceny, 5700 Block of GENERAL WASHINGTON DR, 7/13/11. License plates were stolen from a van.

Destruction of Private Property, 5600 Block of IONA WAY, 7/14/11.  An individual returned to his vehicle to find the driver’s side window smashed.

Larceny, 5100 Block of CLINTON RD, 7/14/11. An individual reported that tomatoes were stolen from plants; a gate was broken to gain entry.

Burglary, 5000 Block of BLUE RIDGE AVE, 7/15/11. An individual reported that he is staying at a friend’s house while they are out of town; when he returned to the home, numerous items were missing from the home.

Destruction of Private Property, 7400 Block of AXTON ST, 7/15/11. An individual reported that his vehicle’s passenger windows had been smashed out.

Disorderly Conduct, 7200 Block of LITTLE RIVER TPKE, 7/15/11. Two individuals argued over money.

Larceny, 5200 Block of LIGHT ST, 7/15/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that his hot pressure washer was stolen.  There was additional damage to the vehicle where the pressure washer was likely rolled to remove it from the van.

Larceny, 5200 Block of LIGHT ST, 7/15/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that the locks were damaged in order to gain entry; numerous tools were stolen from the vehicle.

Destruction of Private Property, 7400 Block of FARNUM ST, 7/16/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that the driver’s side window had been smashed; nothing appeared to be missing.

Destruction of Private Property, 5700 Block of ANOLA CT, 7/16/11. An individual reported that her the front passenger side window of her son’s vehicle had been smashed; nothing appeared to be missing.

Larceny, 7400 Block of LONG PINE DR, 7/16/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that the front driver’s side window had been smashed and several items were missing.

Weapon, 7600 Block of HEMING CT, 7/16/11. Three juveniles were identified; one was in possession of a magazine and admitted to previously having possession of a gun.  Witnesses reported seeing the juveniles brandishing the weapon.

Destruction of Public Property, 6900 Block of VILLA-DEL-REY CT, 7/10/11. An individual reported that the windshield of his father’s car had been broken with a beer bottle.

Destruction of Public Property, 6800 Block of FERNHOLLY CT, 7/10/11. Graffiti was identified on a nature trail.

Larceny, 6300 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 7/12/11. Two individuals attempted to leave a store without paying for merchandise.

Destruction of Private Property, 7200 Block of TANAGER ST, 7/13/11. An individual reported that his fence was damaged as a result of individuals regularly jumping over it.

Drugs, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 7/13/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, CLEARBROOK DR / ESSEX AVE, 7/13/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Destruction of Private Property, 6800 Block of SUPREME CT, 7/14/11. After several individuals were shooting at each other with BB guns, one of the individuals reported that his father’s vehicle had been damaged.

Drugs, 6700 Block of BACKLICK RD, 7/14/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 7/14/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Disorderly Conduct, 6500 Block of BACKLICK RD, 7/16/11. Two individuals got into an aggressive argument after drinking at a bar.

Larceny, 6700 Block of FRONTIER DR, 7/10/11. An individual reported that his iPhone was stolen at a café.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 7/10/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Fraud, 6000 Block of ARCHSTONE WAY, 7/11/11. Fraudulent charges were made on an individual’s debit card.

Larceny, 6300 Block of RACETEC PL, 7/10/11. Insurance cards and a vehicle registration were stolen from a vehicle.

Larceny, 6400 Block of ZEKAN LN, 7/11/11. A GPS was stolen from a vehicle.

Larceny, 6100 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 7/11/11. Two individuals left a store without paying for merchandise.

Destruction of Private Property, 6100 Block of SQUIRE LN, 7/12/11. An individual returned to his vehicle to find that someone had cut the soft top’s rear window and pried open the center console, which was locked; nothing appeared to have been taken.

Larceny, 6400 Block of BOWIE DR, 7/12/11. A tailgate was stolen from a vehicle.

Larceny, 6700 Block of FRONTIER DR, 7/12/11. An individual’s cell phone was stolen from a bookstore.

Larceny, 5700 Block of PALIN PL, 7/12/11. An individual reported that she returned to her vehicle to find that it had been ransacked; a GPS and several other items were missing.

Larceny, 6100 Block of SQUIRE LN, 7/12/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find that her GPS had been stolen.

Larceny, 6100 Block of ROSE HILL DR, 7/13/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise; merchandise was later found on his person.

Larceny, 6000 Block of CRAFT RD, 7/13/11. An individual returned to her vehicle to find that her front passenger-side window had been smashed out with a brick; her purse was stolen.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 7/13/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Burglary, 5900 Block of COVERDALE WAY, 7/14/11. An individual returned home to find that several items were out of place but nothing appeared to have been taken.

Burglary, 5900 Block of COVERDALE WAY, 7/14/11. An individual returned home to find that several items were missing.

Larceny, 6500 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 7/14/11. An individual reported that money was stolen from her purse, which was left for several moments while she tended to her child.

Burglary, 5400 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 7/15/11. Four roommates returned home to find that someone had entered their home and taken items from each of their rooms.

Larceny, 6700 Block of FRONTIER DR, 7/15/11. An individual reported that her wallet had been stolen.

Destruction of Private Property, 6700 Block of METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 7/16/11. An individual reported that her front, driver’s side tire had been slashed for the second time.

Larceny, 6700 Block of FRONTIER DR, 7/16/11. An individual’s iPhone was stolen from a bookstore.

Larceny, 6200 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 7/16/11. An individual drove away without paying for gas at a gas station.

Larceny, 5800 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 7/10/11. A water wheel was stolen from school grounds.

Drugs, 6100 Block of ROSE HILL DR, 7/12/11. An undercover police officer purchased marijuana from an individual.

Destruction of Private Property, 5900 Block of IANS WAY, 7/13/11. An individual reported that her front window was egged.

Drugs, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE VILLAGE PKWY, 7/13/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Larceny, 5700 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 7/13/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE CTR, 7/13/11. An individual reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse, which was in a dressing room.

Larceny, 6100 Block of ROSE HILL DR, 7/13/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Drugs, 5700 Block of CASTLEWELLAN DR, 7/14/11. Individuals were found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 7/14/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Auto Theft, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 7/15/11.  A vehicle was stolen from this location.

ABC Violation, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 7/15/11. Juveniles were identified smoking.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 Block of STODDARD CT, 7/15/11. An individual reported that her vehicle was egged.

Tax Violation, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 7/15/11. Individuals did not have a license for solicitation.

Destruction of Private Property, GREENDALE VILLAGE DR / JESMOND ST, 7/16/11. Dents and scratches were left on a vehicle.

Destruction of Private Property, MANCHESTER LAKES CT / MANCHESTER LAKES DR, 7/16/11. An individual reported that his vehicle had been spray-painted. Five additional reports of similar damage were made.

Drugs, 6700 Block of EDGE CLIFF DR, 7/16/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Destruction of Private Property, 7400 Block of LARNE LN, 7/10/11. An individual reported that her father had smashed her windshield.

Destruction of Private Property, 9200 Block of EDGEMAR WOODS CT, 7/10/11. An individual reported that a window of his vehicle had been smashed and that there was blood on his car.

Larceny, 9300 Block of RICHMOND HWY, 7/11/11. An individual reported that her purse was stolen from a fast-food restaurant.

Drugs, 9200 Block of HEATHER RIDGE CT, 7/12/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 9500 Block of SALUDA CT, 7/13/11. An individual reported that parts of his bike were stolen by another individual.

Larceny, 9600 Block of HAGEL CIR, 7/14/11. An individual reported that his work truck was broken into and that tools were stolen.

Larceny, 10500 Block of GREENE DR, 7/14/11. An individual reported that change was stolen from his vehicle, which may have been left unlocked.

Disorderly Conduct, 9900 Block of HAGEL CIR, 7/15/11. Two individuals were engaged in an aggressive argument.
