CRIME SUMMARY

July 17-23, 2011

Destruction of Private Property, 6400 Block of EDSALL RD, 7/18/11. An individual reported that the passenger-side door lock on his work van had been punched in; nothing appeared to be missing.

Destruction of Private Property, 6300 Block of BURGUNDY LEAF LN, 7/18/11. An individual reported that his vehicle had been keyed.

Destruction of Private Property, 7000 Block of BRADDOCK MEWS PL, 7/19/11. The rear window of a vehicle was broken.

Drugs, BACKLICK RD / EDSALL RD, 7/19/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6200 Block of EDSALL RD, 7/20/11. An individual reported that cash and several bottles of liquor were stolen from his vehicle.

Larceny, 5400 Block of FERNDALE ST, 7/20/11. An individual reported that the driver’s side window of his father’s truck had been smashed; an iPhone and 10 CDs were stolen.

Driving While Intoxicated, BRADDOCK RD / RAVENSWORTH RD, 7/21/11. An individual was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Robbery, 6800 Block of PERRY PENNEY DR, 7/22/11. An individual reported that a suspect came to her door, forced his way in, and took cash and a laptop computer.

Drugs, BLOOMFIELD DR / EDSALL RD, 7/23/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Larceny, 6800 Block of CABIN JOHN RD, 7/17/11. An air conditioning unit was stolen from a home.

Burglary, 6000 Block of AMHERST AVE, 7/19/11. An individual reported that his glass door was broken; nothing appeared to be missing.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 7/20/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 7500 Block of ESSEX AVE, 7/20/11. A rear bumper and attached license plate were stolen off of a vehicle.

Destruction of Private Property, 5700 Block of BACKLICK RD, 7/21/11. An individual reported that someone punched a window of her home.

Larceny, 6200 Block of BACKLICK RD, 7/21/11. An individual reported that his black backpack, which contained a laptop, various forms of identification, and wallet, were stolen from his unlocked vehicle.

Destruction of Private Property, 6300 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 7/22/11. An individual reported seeing a suspect key his vehicle.

Drunk in Public, 5300 Block of BACKLICK RD, 7/22/11. Two individual were found to be drunk in a local park.

Larceny, 7000 Block of BROOKFIELD PLZ, 7/22/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Drugs, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 7/23/11. An individual forged a prescription in an attempt to obtain Oxycodone HCL.

Drugs, 7000 Block of BROOKFIELD PLZ, 7/23/11. An individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Burglary, 6700 Block of METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 7/18/11. An individual returned home to find that someone had stolen items from her house.

Destruction of Private Property, 6800 Block of FRONTIER DR, 7/18/11. An individual reported that two bike tires were deflated and one tire was partially off of the rim.

Fraud, 6700 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 7/18/11. An individual reported that her company credit card was stolen.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 7/18/11.  An individual reported that her diamond engagement ring was stolen from an unlocked office.

Robbery, 6100 Block of OLD TELEGRAPH RD, 7/18/11. An individual was attacked by three suspects, who stole his wallet.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 7/19/11. Four individuals exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 7/20/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Tampering, 5600 Block of TREMONT DR, 7/20/11. An individual reported that the gas line to his motorcycle had been cut.

Larceny, 5500 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 7/21/11. An individual refused to pay with cash at a cash-only pump and drove off without paying.

Larceny, 6700 Block of FRONTIER DR, 7/21/11. A disorderly patron was asked to leave but, upon leaving, did not pay for his bill.

Larceny, 6100 Block of CASTLETOWN WAY, 7/22/11. An individual paid a handyman to pick up parts but, after cashing the check, the handyman failed to return phone calls.

Drugs, 3300 Block of DONA AVE, 7/23/11. An individual was found to be under the influence of drugs.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 Block of CURTIER DR, 7/17/11. An individual reported that his vehicle and garage were egged.

Drugs, 6900 Block of SOUTH VAN DORN ST, 7/17/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Larceny, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 7/17/11. An individual reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse at a store.

Larceny, 6100 Block of MANCHESTER LAKES DR, 7/18/11.  An individual reported that his iPod Touch was stolen from a desk at a swimming pool.

Larceny, 6700 Block of LAKE VILLAGE DR, 7/18/11. A vehicle was stolen from a driveway.

Larceny, 6100 Block of ROSE HILL DR, 7/18/11. Two individuals exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Auto Theft, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE VILLAGE PKWY, 7/19/11. An individual reported that his vehicle had been stolen.

Larceny, 7000 Block of MANCHESTER BLVD, 7/19/11. An individual reported that his wallet was stolen from his place of work and that fraudulent charges had been made on his credit card.

Larceny, 6000 Block of KATHMOOR DR, 7/19/11. An individual reported that she observed three suspects enter a construction site and take various items.

Destruction of Private Property, 6200 Block of LES DORSON LN, 7/21/11. An individual threw a bookshelf down the stairs.

Driving While Intoxicated, OLD CARRIAGE DR / VIEW LN, 7/22/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Burglary, 8900 Block of ROBERT LUNDY PL, 7/17/11. An individual reported that four bikes were stolen from her garage, which was left open.

Larceny, 7700 Block of DOLLY DR, 7/17/11. An individual reported that his recently-purchased dirt bike was stolen from his backyard.

Destruction of Private Property, 9600 Block of FRANKLIN WOODS PL, 7/18/11. An individual reported that a window of his house was broken during the night.

Larceny, 9400 Block of RICHMOND HWY, 7/19/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Destruction of Private Property, 8900 Block of HARROVER PL, 7/20/11. During an argument, an individual dented a vehicle several times with his fist.

Destruction of Private Property, 10700 Block of OLD COLCHESTER RD, 7/20/11. An individual reported that someone had kicked open his door; nothing appeared to be missing.

Disorderly Conduct, 9800 Block of HAGEL CIR, 7/20/11. Two individuals reported overhearing an aggressive argument between a male and female.

Drunk in Public, 7400 Block of LONE STAR RD, 7/20/11. An individual was banging on a door and refused to leave a property where he was no longer welcome.

Larceny, ARDGLASS DR / WHERNSIDE ST, 7/20/11. An individual failed to pay his taxi cab fare.

Larceny, 10200 Block of RICHMOND HWY, 7/20/11. An individual reported that tools were stolen from his vehicle.

Larceny, 9400 Block of LORTON MARKET ST, 7/20/11. Two individuals exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Disorderly Conduct, 7/21/11. Three juveniles were using a toy gun to damage property.
