CRIME SUMMARY

September 4-10, 2011

Auto Theft, 6200 Block of EDSALL RD, 9/4/11. An individual returned from work to find that his motorcycle had been stolen.

Larceny, 7300 Block of BYRNELEY LN, 9/4/11. An individual reported many items missing from his locked work vehicle.

Destruction of Private Property, 7000 Block of LEEBRAD ST, 9/5/11. An individual reported that the passenger side window of his vehicle was broken and items were strewn about.

Burglary, 5400 Block of EDSALL RIDGE PL, 9/7/11. An individual reported that a PlayStation console and 12 video games were stolen from his basement; no signs of forced entry.

Auto Theft, 6400 Block of EDSALL RD, 9/9/11. An individual reported his mini-van stolen.

Destruction of Private Property, 6400 Block of EDSALL RD, 9/9/11. A vehicle was found spray-painted with air let out of its tires, and a garden hose pumping water into the vehicle.

ABC Violation, HEMING AVE / LEESVILLE BLVD, 9/10/11. An individual was found to be intoxicated in public.

Larceny, 7000 Block of OLD KEENE MILL RD, 9/8/11. A trailer was stolen from a construction site.

Larceny, 6300 Block of DANA AVE, 9/9/11. Numerous items, including a GPS, were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Larceny, 7500 Block of JUNE ST, 9/10/11. An individual reported that numerous tools were stolen from his work van.

Larceny, 6600 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/4/11. Numerous items were stolen from refrigeration units.

Destruction of Private Property, 6400 Block of GILDAR ST, 9/5/11. An individual reported that a neighbor destroyed his son’s baseball after it landed in the yard.

Larceny, 6600 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/5/11. An individual attempted to return an item that he did not purchase.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 9/7/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Destruction of Private Property, 6700 Block of METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 9/8/11. An individual reported seeing a coffee mug thrown out of a window and land on the hood of a vehicle.

Larceny, 6600 Block of COMET CIR, 9/8/11. An individual reported that his estranged wife had taken various items from his apartment.

Auto Theft, 6600 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/9/11. An individual reported that his mother’s vehicle, which he had been driving, had been stolen.

Destruction of Private Property, 6300 Block of GROVEDALE DR, 9/9/11. A day care employee reported that unknown suspect(s) entered the unlocked rear door of one of the school buses and had a party.

Destruction of Private Property, 6800 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/9/11. The passenger-side window of a vehicle was broken out.

Larceny, 4900 Block of UPLAND DR, 9/10/11. An individual reported that his keys and his friend’s wallet were stolen from the front porch.

Larceny, 3500 Block of FORT HILL DR, 9/10/11. An individual reported that spare change was stolen from his vehicle, which was left unlocked.

Robbery, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 9/4/11. A woman reported that a suspect pushed her down and stole her purse, which held cash, her engagement ring, and identification information.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 Block of CLAMES DR, 9/5/11. An individual reported that a front window to her home, in addition to her screen door, were damaged.

Auto Theft, 6200 Block of BERNARD AVE, 9/6/11. An individual reported that his van was stolen from his driveway.

Destruction of Private Property, DIJOHN COURT DR / MITTENDORFF LN, 9/6/11. An individual’s vehicle was keyed.

Larceny, 6500 Block of OLD CARRIAGE LN, 9/6/11. An individual reported that his iPod Touch was stolen from his vehicle, which was left unlocked.

Larceny, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 9/7/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6100 Block of ROSE HILL DR, 9/7/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 8400 Block of BACKLICK RD, 9/8/11. The state inspection sticker was stolen from a van.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 Block of LIVERPOOL LN, 9/9/11. An individual reported that the lock to her front door had been tampered with; the key was no longer able to be inserted into the lock.

Destruction of Private Property, 7000 Block of DEVEREUX CIRCLE DR, 9/9/11. Vehicle window was smashed.

Destruction of Private Property, 7000 Block of DEVEREUX CIRCLE DR, 9/9/11. Vehicle window was smashed.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 Block of KATHMOOR DR, 9/9/11. Two vehicle windows were shot out by a projectile.

Weapons, SOUTH VAN DORN ST / TELEGRAPH RD, 9/9/11.  Individuals were reportedly throwing miscellaneous items from a Jeep at moving vehicles.

Destruction of Private Property, 7000 Block of MANCHESTER BLVD, 9/10/11. The passenger side window of a vehicle was smashed and dents were made on the rear panel of the vehicle.

Drugs, 6100 Block of BRAELEIGH LN, 9/10/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 9/10/11. Items were stolen from a delivery truck.

Larceny, 7700 Block of HAYNES POINT WAY, 9/10/11. Both license plates were stolen off of a work van.

Auto Theft, 7600 Block of WILDWOOD CT, 9/4/11. An individual reported that her vehicle was stolen.

Larceny, 9400 Block of LORTON MARKET ST, 9/4/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 9200 Block of ASHLAND WOODS LN, 9/5/11. Two wheels on an individual’s vehicle were stolen.

Auto Theft, 9100 Block of ASHLAND WOODS LN, 9/6/11. An individual reported that his vehicle was stolen.

Larceny, 9800 Block of GUNSTON RD, 9/6/11. An individual reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle, which was left unlocked.

Larceny, 7900 Block of GUNSTON WOODS PL, 9/6/11. An individual reported that the windows to his vehicle had been removed; his stereo system and speakers were stolen.

Larceny, 9400 Block of LORTON MARKET ST, 9/7/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Destruction of Private Property, 8900 Block of SYLVANIA ST, 9/9/11. The rear window to an individual’s home was smashed; entry had not been made.

Weapons, 9400 Block of LORTON MARKET ST, 9/10/11. An individual reported that someone threw ice cream at his vehicle.
