CRIME SUMMARY

September 25 – October 1, 2011

Driving While Under the Influence, I495 NB / I495 NB THRU RAMP, 9/25/11. Following a traffic accident, an individual was found to be driving while under the influence of drugs.

Destruction of Private Property, BACKLICK RD / BRADDOCK RD, 9/27/11. An individual reported that a suspect dented his vehicle with his fist.

Larceny, 6300 Block of BERYL RD, 9/27/11. An individual reported that money was stolen from her residence.

Tax Violation, BROADWING PL / LEVTOV LNDG, 9/27/11. Two individuals were soliciting without a license.

Larceny, 6900 Block of BRADLICK SHOPPING CTR, 9/29/11. An individual’s belongings were stolen from an unlocked gym locker.

Destruction of Private Property, 7200 Block of CASTLEFIELD WAY, 9/25/11. The glass picture window of a home was shattered.

Larceny,7200 Block of EVANSTON RD 9/26/11. An individual reported that tools were stolen from the bed of his truck.

Robbery, 7200 Block of COMMERCE ST, 9/27/11. A bank teller reported an attempted robbery.

Destruction of Private Property, 6300 Block of BACKLICK RD, 9/30/11. A bank manager reported that an ATM machine had been damaged.

Drugs, BACKLICK RD / SPRING GARDEN DR, 10/1/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Auto Theft, 5600 Block of MAXINE CT, 9/25/11. An individual reported that a vehicle had been stolen from where it was parked on the street.

Disorderly Conduct, 6100 Block of PIONEER DR, 9/25/11. An individual was reported to be drunk and disorderly.

Larceny, 6600 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/25/11. An individual reported that a suspect stole numerous items from a locked refrigerator.

Auto Theft, 6800 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/26/11.  An individual’s vehicle was stolen from a parking garage.

Drugs, 6800 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/26/11. Following an arrest for being drunk in public, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6500 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 9/26/11. After an individual’s automobile was stolen, credit cards that were left inside the vehicle were fraudulently charged.

Larceny, 6600 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/26/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 5500 Block of BURGUNDY PL, 9/26/11. An individual reported that numerous items were stolen from his shed.

Destruction of Private Property, 6500 Block of ELDER AVE, 9/27/11. An individual reported that the back windshield of her vehicle had been broken.

Drugs, 6700 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/27/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Burglary, 5900 Block of FOUNDERS HILL DR, 9/28/11. An individual returned home to find that her home had been burglarized; nothing appeared to be missing.

Burglary, 6400 Block of NICE PL, 9/28/11. An individual returned home to find numerous attempts to gain entry to his home had been made.

Fraud, 5900 Block of RIDGE VIEW DR, 9/28/11. Fraudulent charges were made on an individual’s credit card, although she was still in possession of the card.

Larceny, 6600 Block of FRONTIER DR, 9/28/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Burglary, 6500 Block of INWOOD DR, 9/29/11. An individual returned home to find that his home had been burglarized.

Destruction of Private Property, 5600 Block of VINE ST, 10/1/11. An individual punched a teller window at a towing company.

Drugs, BOWIE DR / COMMERCE ST, 10/1/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drunk in Public, 7000 Block of MANCHESTER BLVD, 9/25/11. A bar patron was found to be drunk in public.

Fraud, 5900 Block of BING CT, 9/25/11. Fraudulent charges were made on an individual’s credit card.

Weapons, 7000 Block of MANCHESTER BLVD, 9/25/11. Following the reckless handling of a gun, an individual was accidentally shot.

Destruction of Private Property, 6100 Block of ROSE HILL DR, 9/26/11. An individual threw a rock through a barber shop window.

Destruction of Private Property, 7100 Block of ROCK RIDGE LN, 9/26/11. An individual reported that his sister had been drunk and had damaged items in his home, although he did not wish to press charges.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 9/27/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Robbery, 6900 Block of VICTORIA DR, 9/27/11. An individual reported that he was beaten and robbed by four individuals; one of whom he recognized from school.

Burglary, 7100 Block of LAKE COVE DR, 9/28/11. An individual reported that her flat screen TV was stolen from her home; it appeared that the suspect(s) entered by breaking the glass to her French doors.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 9/28/11. Tools were stolen from an individual’s van, which was left unlocked.

Destruction, 6100 Block of MANCHESTER LAKES DR, 9/29/11. Graffiti was painted on a dumpster and a Dominion Power box.

Larceny, 5700 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 9/29/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 7600 Block of TELEGRAPH RD, 9/29/11. A high school student reported that her iPod Touch was stolen from her purse during a class.

Burglary, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 9/30/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Drugs, ALFORTH AVE / BEULAH ST, 9/30/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 10/1/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Fraud, 9000 Block of ARCH HALL RD, 9/30/11. An individual received a letter and a fraudulent check from a company notifying him that he would be receiving money from a settlement.  After attempting to cash the check, the individual realized that the check was fraudulent.
