CRIME SUMMARY

October 30 – November 5, 2011

Destruction of Private Property, 5600 Block of HARRINGTON FALLS LN, 10/30/11. An individual reported that her car had been damaged by a neighbor, who had placed his dog on the hood of her car, causing damage.

Unauthorized Use – Auto, 7000 Block of LEEBRAD ST, 10/31/11. An acquaintance of a vehicle owner was using the vehicle without permission.

Larceny, 6700 Block of LITTLE RIVER TPKE, 11/1/11. Front license plate was stolen.

Disorderly Conduct, 6400 Block of EDSALL RD, 11/3/11. A misunderstanding between a manager and a regular at the bowling alley lead to a heated discussion.

Drugs, EDSALL RD / EDSALL RIDGE PL, 11/3/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, AMHERST AVE / COMMERCE ST, 10/30/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 10/31/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Weapons, 7200 Block of LAVENDER LN, 10/31/11. An individual reported that someone had shot something into her home the previous night; however, it was clear that the shot had originated within the residence.

Burglary, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 11/1/11. An individual reported items missing from her hotel room.

Drugs, 6900 Block of HECHINGER DR, 11/2/11. Controlled purchase of a prescription drug.

Drugs, 6300 Block of BACKLICK RD, 11/2/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 11/2/11.  An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Destruction of Private Property, EDSALL RD / MONTGOMERY ST, 11/3/11. An individual reported that a drinking glass was thrown from another vehicle into his, which caused damage.

Drugs, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 11/4/11. An individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Driving While Intoxicated, 7000 Block of BROOKFIELD PLZ, 11/4/11. An individual under the influence backed into another vehicle in front of numerous witnesses.

Larceny, 7300 Block of FALMOUTH ST, 11/5/11. A Honda generator and a gas pipe saw were stolen from an individual’s vehicle.

Larceny, 6000 Block of CRAIG ST, 11/5/11. An individual reported seeing a suspect steal her son’s scooter from her property.

Larceny, 6100 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 10/30/11. An individual’s wallet was stolen from a convenience store, after he left it on the counter.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 10/30/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Destruction of Private Property, 6100 Block of FRANCONIA STATION LN, 10/31/11. An individual’s mailbox was struck by a baseball bat.

Destruction of Private Property, 5600 Block of CLOUDS MILL DR, 11/1/11. A suspect began banging on an individual’s door with a metal gate he took from the trash and then proceeded to throw the trash in the street and break the mailbox.

Larceny, 6500 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/1/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/1/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Disorderly Conduct, 6300 Block of WALKER LN, 11/2/11. An individual became disorderly after a doctor refused to prescribe medication to him.

Burglary, 6000 Block of OLD TELEGRAPH RD, 11/3/11. An individual observed two suspects loading items stolen from her home into a van.

Burglary, 6500 Block of WINDHAM AVE, 11/3/11. Jewelry was stolen from an individual’s home.

Fraud, 4700 Block of UPLAND DR, 11/3/11. An individual was duped into providing her credit card to a website.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/4/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Drugs, 5800 Block of CANNON LN, 11/5/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, BEULAH ST / FRANCONIA RD, 11/5/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, FRANCONIA RD LOWER RD / LOISDALE RD, 11/5/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/5/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Driving While Intoxicated, 7100 Block of BEULAH ST, 10/30/11. An intoxicated individual was found to be passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle.

ABC Violation, 7600 Block of TELEGRAPH RD, 11/1/11. A student was found to be in possession of cigarettes.

Drugs, 7600 Block of TELEGRAPH RD, 11/1/11. A student was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Driving While Intoxicated, 7800 Block of TELEGRAPH RD, 11/1/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be intoxicated.

Larceny, 6400 Block of WARREN POINT CT, 11/1/11. An individual reported that jewelry was stolen after a carpet company installed carpeting.

Burglary, 7000 Block of DEVEREUX CIRCLE DR, 11/3/11. An individual returned home to find that her home had been entered and that items had been stolen.

Drugs, 7600 Block of TELEGRAPH RD, 11/3/11.  A student was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Destruction of Private Property, 7800 Block of CINDER BED RD, 11/4/11. An individual reported that an empty residence had been occupied by a squatter.

Destruction of Private Property, I95 / LORTON RD, 10/31/11. An individual’s windshield was punched out by an angry acquaintance.

Destruction of Private Property, 9300 Block of GUNSTON COVE RD, 10/31/11. A glass door was broken at a gas station.

Fraud, 9000 Block of HARROVER PL, 10/31/11. An individual reported that some of his accounts had been compromised.

Larceny, 9400 Block of LORTON STATION SOUTH CTR, 10/31/11. An individual’s computer bag was stolen from his vehicle, which was left unlocked.

Larceny, 9000 Block of LORTON STATION BLVD, 11/2/11. An individual reported that cash was taken from her purse, which was left unattended.

Destruction of Private Property, 9500 Block of GREENCASTLE LN, 11/4/11. An individual reported that the outer glass pane of his front window was broken.

Destruction of Private Property, LEE MASEY DR / TEA TABLE DR, 11/5/11. An abandoned vehicle e was found with its door open and its window smashed.
