CRIME SUMMARY

November 27 – December 3, 2011

Robbery, 4500 Block of KING WILLIAM CT, 11/27/11. An individual approached several individuals with a knife and demanded money.

Larceny, 7000 Block of LEESVILLE BLVD, 11/29/11. A file cabinet was reported stolen from a driveway.

Larceny, 7000 Block of SKYLES WAY, 11/29/11. An individual reported that her car stereo had been stolen from her vehicle.

Drugs, 7200 Block of LITTLE RIVER TPKE, 11/30/11. An individual forged a prescription in an effort to obtain Hydrocodone at a pharmacy.

Fraud, 4500 Block of KING EDWARD CT, 11/30/11. An individual attempted to open a bank account and learned that an account already existed using his social security number.

Larceny, 6900 Block of BRADDOCK RD, 12/2/11 and 12/3/11. An individual exited a grocery store on two days in a row without paying for shopping carts full of laundry detergent.

Disorderly Conduct, 6800 Block of EDSALL RD, 11/28/11. An individual reported being followed and harassed by her former boyfriend’s current girlfriend.

Larceny, 6300 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 11/28/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6900 Block of HECHINGER DR, 11/30/11. An individual was caught shoplifting at a home repair store.

Larceny, 6300 Block of SPRINGFIELD PLZ, 11/30/11.  Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Unauthorized Use of an Automobile, 6000 Block of GRAYSON ST, 12/2/11. An acquaintance drove an individual’s car without authorization.

Weapons, 5700 Block of BACKLICK RD, 12/3/11. A fake bomb threat was called in to a fast food restaurant.

Burglary, 4900 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 11/27/11. Money from a collection jug was stolen.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 Block of CROCUS CT, 11/27/11. Rocks were strewn over an individual’s vehicle, leaving damage.

Driving While Intoxicated, 3600 Block of KEOTA ST, 11/27/11. An intoxicated individual hit a parked car.

Larceny, 6700 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/27/11. An individual’s money and passport were stolen from her wallet, which was left unattended at a store.

Larceny, 6500 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/28/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6500 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/28/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6500 Block of FRONTIER DR, 11/28/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6700 Block of METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 11/28/11. Cash and a social security card were stolen from an individual’s purse.

Larceny, 6100 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 11/28/11. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Fireworks, 6100 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 11/29/11. Following a traffic stop and the odor of marijuana, an individual was found to be in possession of illegal fireworks.

Fraud, 6400 Block of LOISDALE RD, 11/29/11. Following an accident, an individual provided false identification information.

Fraud, 6500 Block of FRONTIER DR, 11/29/11. An individual purchased what he thought was a 16GB iPod from an individual he met on Craig’s List; however, the iPod turned out to be an 8G.

Drugs, 6300 Block of THOMAS DR, 11/30/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Drugs, 6300 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 11/30/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/30/11. Two individuals attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 11/30/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 5900 Block of COVERDALE WAY, 12/1/11. An individual’s company truck windows were smashed; a GPS and CD unit were stolen.

Auto Theft, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 12/2/11. An individual reported that her locked vehicle had been stolen from a mall parking garage.

Disorderly Conduct, NINIAN AVE / WESTCHESTER ST, 12/2/11. An individual became aggressive on the road.

Larceny, 6800 Block of FRONTIER DR, 12/2/11. Numerous items were stolen from an individual’s locked vehicle.

Drugs, ELDER AVE / FRANCONIA RD, 12/3/11. A vehicle involved in an accident tested positive for cocaine residue.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 12/3/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Drugs, 7200 Block of LARRUP CT, 11/27/11. An individual was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Larceny, 5400 Block of BROADMOOR ST, 11/27/11. Items were stolen from a vehicle, which was left unlocked.

Auto Theft, 6800 Block of SILASSIE CT, 11/28/11. An individual reported that his 1991 Mitsubishi Galant was stolen.

Destruction of Private Property, 7000 Block of MANCHESTER BLVD, 11/28/11. An individual reported that his motorcycle had been knocked over by someone outside of a bar.

Larceny, 6800 Block of SILVER ANN DR, 11/28/11. Cash was stolen from a vehicle, which was left unlocked.

Drugs, 6900 Block of SOUTH VAN DORN ST, 11/29/11. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE CTR, 11/29/11. An individual’s wallet was stolen from her purse, which she left unattended.

Larceny, 6100 Block of ROSE HILL DR, 11/29/11. An individual attempted to exit a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6300 Block of ALDERMAN DR, 12/1/11. Numerous items were stolen from a residence.

Larceny, 6000 Block of PINEY WOODS CT, 12/1/11. Items were stolen from several vehicles on this block.

Larceny, 6400 Block of CASTLEFIN WAY, 12/1/11. An individual arranged to meet a suspect, who was interested in purchasing a used iPhone.  During the transaction, the suspect drove off without paying for the phone.

Drugs, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 12/2/11. Three individuals were found to be smoking marijuana in a vehicle.

Destruction of Private Property, 790800 Block of KINCANNON PL, 12/3/11. A business owner reported that the glass door to the store was broken with stones.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 12/3/11. 25 Xbox and PlayStation 3 video games were stolen from a store.

Fraud, 11100 Block of GUNSTON RD, 11/28/11. An individual attempted to purchase items using a stolen credit card.

Larceny, 9200 Block of HEATHER RIDGE CT, 11/28/11. An individual’s bicycle was stolen from the front porch of his ground-level apartment.

Burglary, 7400 Block of ASPENPARK RD, 12/2/11. An individual returned home to find jewelry and cash missing.

Destruction of Private Property, HAGEL CIR / RICHMOND HWY, 12/2/11. The windows of several vehicles were shot with a BB or pellet gun.

Drugs, 9400 Block of LORTON MARKET ST, 12/2/11. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Fraud, 9600 Block of FRANKLIN WOODS PL, 12/2/11. An individual reported that someone had made fraudulent purchases against her account.

Larceny, CHERWEK DR / RICHMOND HWY, 12/2/11. A towing company towed a car that had been reported stolen.
