CRIME SUMMARY

January 22-28, 2012

Drugs, 5500 Block of VINCENT GATE TER, 1/22/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6500 Block of BRADDOCK RD, 1/23/12. A trailer was broken into. Tools were stolen.

Larceny, 7000 Block of SKYLES WAY, 1/23/12. A van was broken into. Tools were stolen.

Larceny, 6500 Block of BRADDOCK RD, 1/24/12. iPad stolen from a school locker room.

Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 7300 Block of BRADDOCK RD, 1/26/12. A residence was broken into and cash was stolen.

Destruction of Private Property, 6600 Block of PINE RD, 1/26/12. The driver’s side window of a vehicle was smashed.

Larceny, 6900 Block of BRADLICK SHOPPING CTR, 1/26/12. An individual exited a store without paying for merchandise.

Larceny, 6900 Block of BRADLICK SHOPPING CTR, 1/26/12. A wallet and keys were stolen from a store counter.

Larceny, 7200 Block of LITTLE RIVER TPKE, 1/26/12. Attempted shoplifting.

Larceny, 6900 Block of BRADLICK SHOPPING CTR, 1/27/12.  A wallet was stolen from a gym locker.

Vehicle Tampering, 6300 Block of MERLE PL, 1/27/12. A vehicle was keyed.

Destruction of Private Property, 7200 Block of HILLMEAD CT, 1/22/12. Rear window of vehicle damaged.

Larceny, 5700 Block of BACKLICK RD, 1/24/12. Vehicle was broken into; a rotary hammer and four extension cords were stolen.

Drugs, 7000 Block of BACKLICK RD, 1/26/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Auto Theft, 6500 Block of GILDAR ST, 1/22/12. An individual reported a vehicle stolen.

Larceny, 6500 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 1/22/12. An individual’s cell phone was stolen.

Larceny, 6700 Block of COMMERCE ST, 1/23/12. Cash was reported stolen by a friend of a guest in a hotel room.

Forgery, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 1/24/12. An individual attempted to purchase an item with a counterfeit $100 bill.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 1/25/12. Attempted shoplifting.

Destruction of Private Property, 6600 Block of FRONTIER DR, 1/26/12. An individual shoplifted and damaged merchandise in the process.

Larceny, 6400 Block of WINDSOR AVE, 1/26/12. A laptop was stolen from an unlocked shed.

Drugs, 3300 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 1/27/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 1/27/12. Attempted shoplifting.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 1/27/12. Attempted shoplifting.

Drunk in Public, FRANCONIA RD / SEATREND WAY, 1/28/12. Three individuals were found to be drunk in public.

DWI, FRANCONIA RD / FRANCONIA FOREST LN, 1/28/12. Following an accident, an individual was found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Larceny, 6500 Block of FRONTIER DR, 1/28/12. Attempted shoplifting.

Larceny, 6600 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 1/28/12. Attempted shoplifting.

Larceny, 6800 Block of FRONTIER DR, 1/28/12. Numerous items were stolen from a vehicle.

Larceny, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 1/22/12. iPhone stolen from unattended jacket.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 1/22/12. Two individuals failed to pay their bill.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 Block of ROCK CLIFF LN, 1/23/12. Spray paint can thrown through a window.

Larceny, 5800 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 1/23/12. Purse stolen from grocery store cart.

Destruction of Private Property, 6000 Block of KINGSTOWNE VILLAGE PKWY, 1/25/12. Recreational center siding vandalized with a pellet gun.

Larceny, 7000 Block of MANCHESTER BLVD, 1/25/12. A vehicle entered; tools and money were taken.

Drugs, 7500 Block of THOMAS GRANT DR, 1/26/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 5900 Block of KINGSTOWNE TOWNE CTR, 1/27/12. Shoplifting.

DWI, BEULAH ST / VIEW LN, 1/28/12. An individual was found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Destruction of Private Property, 6500 Block of POHICK BAY DR, 1/22/12. The heater in a park bathroom was damaged after an individual tried to remove it.

Robbery, CHERWEK DR / RICHMOND HWY, 1/22/12. An individual reported being robbed by two individuals who took a wallet and money.

Larceny, 9600 Block of EATON WOODS PL, 1/23/12. Money was stolen from a vehicle.

Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 9500 Block of UNITY LN, 1/24/12.  Door of residence damaged and several items were found out of place.  Nothing was found to be missing.

Destruction of Private Property, 9500 Block of HAGEL CIR, 1/24/12. Three vehicles damaged with baseball bats.

Burglary, 7600 Block of FALLSWOOD WAY, 1/25/12. Laptop and iPod stolen from a home.

Disorderly Conduct, 10200 Block of BELMONT BLVD, 1/25/12. An individual threatened another at his place of residence.

Drugs, ATATURK WAY / WALDREN DR, 1/25/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Larceny, 7800 Block of LEWIS CHAPEL CIR, 1/26/12. A GPS device and several tools were stolen from a vehicle.

Destruction, 7600 Block of FAIRFIELD WOODS CT, 1/27/12. Graffiti left on property of apartment complex.

Larceny, 9400 Block of RICHMOND HWY, 1/27/12. A wallet was stolen after being dropped in a parking lot.
