CRIME SUMMARY

April 1-7, 2012

Destruction of Property, 4500 Block of KING EDWARD CT, 4/1/12. Two vehicles had their tires slashed.

Drugs, 7200 Block of HOMESTEAD PL, 4/1/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6500 Block of BRADDOCK RD, 4/2/12. Residents at a rehabilitation facility reported that another resident has stolen their credit cards.

Motor Vehicle Theft, 5600 Block of BLOOMFIELD DR, 4/3/12. An individual reported that his vehicle had been towed illegally by a local towing company.

Larceny, 5200 Block of BACKLICK RD, 4/4/12. An individual reported that her cell phone was taken from her during a physical altercation with an acquaintance.

Destruction of Property, 6400 Block of EDSALL RD, 4/5/12. A vehicle was scratched with a large rock.

Drugs, CONWELL DR / LITTLE RIVER TPKE SERVICE RD, 4/5/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Fraud, EDSALL RD EB RAMP TO I395 NB / I395 NB, 4/5/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual provided false identification.

Larceny, 5600 Block of HARRINGTON FALLS LN, 4/6/12. An individual failed to pay a  taxi cab fare.

Destruction of Property, 5500 Block of HINTON ST, 4/7/12. The sliding door to a van was damaged.

Drugs, 6600 Block of IRVIN PL, 4/7/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Larceny, 6200 Block of MASEFIELD CT, 4/7/12. A vehicle was broken into and the stereo was removed.

Destruction of Property, 67000 Block of ELECTRONIC DR, 4/1/12. The glass door to a business was busted out.

Larceny, 6800 Block of SPRINGFIELD BLVD, 4/1/12. An individual failed to pay a taxi cab fare.

Destruction of Property, 6800 Block of COMMERCIAL DR, 4/3/12. Rocks were thrown into a parking lot and left damage on a vehicle.

Drugs, 6200 Block of KENTLAND ST, 4/4/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of large amount of marijuana.

Destruction of Property, 6200 Block of BACKLICK RD, 4/6/12. Graffiti was left in a restroom.

Drugs, BACKLICK RD / COMMERCE ST, 4/6/12. Following a traffic stop, an individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Larceny, 5300 Block of BLACKSBURG RD, 4/6/12. Work van was broken into and tools were stolen.

Motor Vehicle Theft, 6500 Block of LEE VALLEY DR, 4/6/12. An individual broke into his previous residence he shared with a roommate and drove the roommate’s vehicle without persmission.

Motor Vehicle Theft, 5700 Block of BACKLICK RD, 4/7/12. A vehicle was stolen.

Destruction of Property, 6700 Block of METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 4/1/12. Vehicle tires were slashed.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/1/12. Two individuals attempted shoplifting.

Larceny, 6500 Block of FRONTIER DR, 4/3/12. Two individuals attempted shoplifting.

Larceny, 8100 Block of LOISDALE RD, 4/3/12. A company container was broken into; numerous items and tools were stolen.

Larceny, 8100 Block of LOISDALE RD, 4/3/12. A storage container was broken into; numerous items and tools were stolen.

Destruction of Property, 6700 Block of DEBRA LU WAY, 4/4/12. A pole appeared to have been struck by an ATV or mower.

Drugs, BEULAH ST/GROVEDALE DR, 4/4/12. An individual was found to be in possession of drugs.

Drugs, 5600 Block of FRANCONIA RD, 4/4/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 6200 Block of THORNWOOD DR, 4/5/12. A home was burglarized; prescription drugs and other items were stolen.

Drugs, LOISDALE RD / METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 4/5/12. An individual was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Fraud, 4900 Block of POPLAR DR, 4/5/12. Fraudulent charges were made against an individual’s debit card after it had been used online.

Burglary/Breaking & Entering, 6700 Block of METROPOLITAN CENTER DR, 4/6/12. Residence burglarized.  Televisions stolen and several items were damaged.

Larceny, 6400 Block of SPRINGFIELD MALL, 4/7/12. Two individuals attempted shoplifting.

Larceny, 6600 Block of TELEGRAPH RD, 4/1/12. Items were stolen from unsecured locker.

Larceny, 6600 Block of HALTWHISTLE LN, 4/2/12. Purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Larceny, 5700 Block of KINGSTOWNE BLVD, 4/3/12. Two individuals shoplifted.

Larceny, 5600 Block of KING CENTRE DR, 4/3/12. Power tools were stolen from a construction site.

Destruction of Property, 6000 Block of JOUST LN, 4/5/12. Spray paint graffiti was left in a townhouse community.

Weapon Law Violation, 6800 Block of BOOT CT, 4/6/12. An individual reported that a 4-inch long metal dart was thrown into the rear wall of her home.

Destruction of Property, 7400 Block of LONE STAR RD, 4/1/12. Driver’s side mirror of a vehicle was smashed/snapped off and there was damage to the door frame.

Larceny, 9800 Block of GUNSTON RD, 4/1/12. Shoplifting.

Destruction of Property, 9600 Block of INVERARY CT, 4/2/12. Rear window of a vehicle was smashed.

Fraud, 9200 Block of SHEFFIELD HUNT CT, 4/4/12. An individual’s credit card was found to be used by a coworker without permission.

Larceny, 9800 Block of HAGEL CIR, 4/6/12. A vehicle was broken into and electronics were stolen.
