Providence is one of nine magisterial districts in Fairfax
County, Virginia. Fairfax County is located approximately
7 miles west of Washington,
D.C.
You can access Providence
District via the following highways and major
roads: from the North via I-495 South, from the West via
Rt-66 East or Rt-7 East, from the East via Rt-66 West.
Furthermore, Providence District boasts a location that
is centrally located to the diverse sights and sounds
of not only Fairfax County but the Greater Washington

Of
the total Fairfax County population of about 1,005,000,
Providence District contains approximately 112,000 people
within an area of 22.31 square miles and ranks third in
population density in the county. As a new or current
resident, as well as a tourist or a business entity, you

Providence
District is graced with many parks and trails. One of
the highlights is Nottoway Park which plays host to "Nottoway
Nights," a free summer concert series that boasts
an eclectic music selection for the community to enjoy. Starting
early May to late October, you can also enjoy the Vienna
Farmer's market at Nottoway Park, among many other events
hosted by the Fairfax County Park Authority.

Providence
District is the home of over 280 homeowner and civic associations. Supervisor Smyth plans on attending neighborhood
meetings and social events held by our associations. If

The District is served by the McLean, Fair Oaks and Mason police
stations to ensure safe neighborhoods. The District is served by
the Fairfax
County Public Schools that had 92% of its graduates go to some form of postsecondary
education in the year 1999-2000.
Providence
District boasts one of the premier shopping experiences
on the East Coast, second perhaps to only Fifth Avenue, New York City, NY.
While you are traveling through the District we hope that

Square, Tyson's
Galleria and nearby
Fair Oaks Mall.
