BOARD MATTER

Concurrent Processing of Flint Hill
Upper School Campus SE Application

August 1, 2005

Mr. Chairman:

Flint Hill School has filed a Special Exception Amendment application that was recently accepted for processing by our Staff. No public hearing dates have been assigned as of this date.
Among other changes to the existing development program on their Upper School Campus located at Jermantown and Oakton Roads, the school is proposing an additional athletic field on an expanded area of the Campus. It is their desire to have this new athletic field ready for play for the school year commencing in September 2006.Given this timeframe, the school has concluded that they will need to process their requisite Site Plan and related Building Plans while the zoning approvals are still pending.

Motion:
With this as background, I would like to move the Department of Public Works and Environmental Services be requested to accept and process the requisite Site Plan and related Building Plans concurrently with the processing of the Special Exception Amendment Application. I make this motion with the understanding that, if approved, the motion will not prejudice the merits of the pending Special Exception Amendment Application.
