Supervisor Linda Q. Smyth's Message

Supervisor Smyth's Biography

 

Linda Q. Smyth was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She moved to Northern Virginia in 1972 and to Providence District in 1974. She is married to Nigel Smyth, and they have one son, Sefton, who graduated from Fairfax County Public Schools in 1997 and is a law school graduate of the University of Virginia. Linda was elected to serve her first four-year term to the Board of Supervisors in November 2003 and was inaugurated on December 15, 2003. Linda was re-elected to serve her second four-year term to the Board of Supervisors in November 2007 and was inaugurated on December 12, 2007.


At present, Supervisor Smyth serves on the following committees:
