Tax Relief Workshops for Seniors and People with Disabilities
Wednesday, March 13 and Friday, March 15 at the
Providence District Supervisor's Office

The workshops consist of 1/2 hour appointments between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The Providence District Supervisor's office is hosting free tax relief workshops, by appointment, for older adults and people with disabilities why may be eligible to receive real estate tax relief from Fairfax County. Fairfax County provides real estate tax relief and car tax relief to citizens who are either 65 or older, or permanently and totally disabled, and meet the income and asset eligibility requirements. Returning applicants must file between January 1 and April 1. Some exceptions may be available if applications are filed late due to a hardship which prevented the application from being filed in time. Detailed requests for hardship waivers must be submitted in writing to the Department of Tax Administration. Forgot to apply for 2012? Applications are still being accepted based on hardship and for first-time filers through December 31, 2013. For eligibility requirements, refer to Tax Relief - Frequently Asked Questions. 2013 Nottoway Nights: A Free Concert Series

Supervisor Smyth welcomes all residents to another exciting season of the Nottoway Nights Concert Series to start in June 2013. This series of free public concerts will feature a variety of musical acts from across the US and around the world. All funds for Nottoway Nights are from private donations. Bring a picnic dinner and a blaket to sit back, relax and enjoy the show! We are looking for volunteers to work with the Friends of Nottoway Park and this and other events at Nottoway.
