Community & Recreation Services
As part of a major consolidation initiative to maximize operational efficiencies, redesign access and delivery of services, and strengthen neighborhood and community capacity, the FY 2011 Advertised Budget Plan includes a proposal to merge the Fairfax County Department of Community and Recreation Services, and the Fairfax County Department of Systems Management for Human Services into a new department, the Fairfax County Department of Neighborhood and Community Services (DNCS). This presentation contains details on the organizational structure of the proposed new department. This presentation has been provided to the Fairfax County Human Services Council as well as to several other community partners. Additional budget information regarding the proposed new department can be accessed here.
