The Wakefield Senior Center, is a warm and friendly place, with members who truly care about each other. Our Center has the unique distinction of being the only senior center to be housed in a Fairfax County Park Facility - Wakefield RECenter. Many of our members have also registered with the Park in order to take advantage of the facilities here (pool, weight room, various classes).

Activities

A variety of activities are offered within our center - daily exercise programs;chair exercise, low impact aerobics, Flex & Stretch classes, card and board games, guest speakers, weekly shopping trips and team activities. We take day trips to museums and places of local interest and we have special event parties and entertainment.

The majority of our programs and activities are free. Transportation may be available. Lunch is served daily at noon, with three choices daily.

We are always looking for individuals, of any age, who would like to volunteer their time and talents to assist with programs and activities within our center. Please call us to request a calendar, or better yet, come in to visit us! The tea and coffee are always on, and the more the merrier! We hope to hear from or see you soon!
