New Non-County Fees for Youth and Adults in Effect for Fall 2009 Season
Update on New Allocation Policies and Proposed Turf Field MOU Policy
The Fairfax County Athletic Council and CRS are proud to announce this year's winners of the Champions of Character Awards. Winners were selected based on their contibutions to youth sports in Fairfax County and Their service in pusuing victory with honor. A coach, parent, and two athletes are chosen from each magisterials district are honored.
Facility Use
- Application for Field and Gym Permits Information on reserving fields and gyms and downloadable permit applications.
- Park Authority Athletic Field Closure Status Listing of Park Authority fields closed due to weather or field conditions. This information can also be accessed by calling the facility cancellation hotline at 703-324-5264.
- Gym Holiday Closures. Gyms will not be available on Fairfax County Public Schools holidays.
- Gym Closure Status (Inclement Weather) - Please check the facility cancellation hotline at 703-324-5264 for updates on gym closures due to inclement weather.
- Gym Regulations - Guidelines and regulations for gym users.
- Gym Regulations for Outdoor Sports Using Gyms - Specific guidelines and regulations for gym users playing outdoor sports such as soccer, baseball, and softball.
- Volunteer Building Directors - Information on becoming a Volunteer Building Director (VBD). All gym users must have a building director on site at all times.

Sports in Fairfax County
The Fairfax County Department of Community and Recreation Services does not operate sports leagues or camps. Please visit the following links for information on participating in sports.

Programs and Services
- Culmore Soccer Camp - Free summer soccer camp for youth ages 6 to 15. Held at Mason District Park. Camp information and registration form. (pdf) Versión en Español. (pdf)

- Kids Serve Too - is a Year Round Recreational Voucher Program for Kids Who Have a Parent Deployed in the Military. For the Application
- Fairfax County Athletic Council - A volunteer Advisory Council, which is appointed by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
- Parents for Good Sports – CRS has partnered with Parents for Good Sports (PGS) to provide PGS’s Team Enhancement Program to youth teams and organizations. For more information on the program, which promotes good sportsmanship through the development of a strong team community, please contact the Athletic Services Division at AthleticServices@fairfaxcounty.gov.
- Champions of Character Awards – CRS is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Champions of Character Awards, which recognize youth athletes, parents, and coaches for demonstrating positive character in youth sports.
