2011 Fastran Stuff the Bus Completed Events - Food for Fairfax Drive
Completed Events
Local food pantries needed our help restocking their shelves. In 2011, Fairfax County Neighborhood and Community Services and the Office of Public Private Partnerships partnered with MV Transportation, Inc. and local grocery stores (Bloom, Giant, and Shoppers) to collect donations of food to assist the most vulnerable in our community. McLean Giant
Eighty-five boxes of food and supplies totaling 2,357 pounds were
collected and donated to Share, Inc.
Seven Corners Shoppers
Twenty-one boxes of food and supplies totaling 1,049 pounds were
collected and donated to Falls Church Community Service Council.
Dulles Shoppers at Village Center
Forty-one boxes of food and supplies totaling 1,900 pounds were
collected and donated to Reston Interfaith.
Baileys Crossroads Giant
Fifty-one boxes of food and supplies totaling 1,724 pounds were
collected and donated to Annandale Christian Community for Action.
Colonnade Giant
Seventy-nine boxes of food and supplies totaling 3,257 pounds were
collected and donated to Western Fairfax Christian Ministries.
Huntsman Square Giant
Forty-eight boxes of food and supplies totaling 1,609 pounds were
collected and donated to Ecumenical Community Helping Others.
Fair City Shoppers
Sixty-two boxes of food and supplies totaling 2,521 pounds were
collected and donated to Food for Others.
Bloom at McLearen Square
Twenty-eight boxes of food and supplies totaling 1,800 pounds were
collected and donated to Reston Interfaith.
Beacon Mall Giant
Twenty-five boxes of food and supplies totaling 1,625 pounds were
collected and donated to United Community Ministries.
Fair Lakes Center Bloom
Forty boxes of food and supplies totaling 1,480 pounds were collected
and donated to Our Daily Bread.
Manchester Lakes Shoppers
Twenty-six boxes of food and supplies totaling 1,059 pounds were
collected and donated to The Koinonia Foundation.
