Want a Summer Job That’s Fun and Rewarding?

Fairfax County Department of Recreation Services is hiring now for summer jobs at community centers, teen centers, and in the Therapeutic Recreation Services Division. Open hires will be held for Recreation Leaders at the following places and times:

Positions Minimum Qualifications

Summer RECQuest Summer Camp Employees             $12.12/hour
Teen Center Employees

• RECQuest staff must be 18 years of age.
• Teen Center staff must be 21 years of age.
• High school graduate.
• Previous experience working with children in a group setting.
• CPR and First Aid for children and adults certification valid through August 2008.

Therapeutic Recreation Services Employees                                                      $13.09 – $15.69/hour

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Have 250 hours of prior experience in a recreation or school setting-serving individuals with disabilities 9college course work can supplement experience).
• CPR and First Aid for children and adults certification valid through August 2008.
