Fairfax County to Participate in the Northern Virginia Housing EXPO 2012
The Northern Virginia Housing Expo 2012 will be held on Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Washington-Lee High School, 1301 North Stafford Street, Arlington, VA.
NoVA Expo 2012, a regional affordable housing event, will showcase both rental and homeownership opportunities for individuals and families across a spectrum of income levels. NoVA Expo 2012 will feature workshops and exhibits designed to educate attendees about location options, being prepared for buying or renting and more. Exhibitors will include area nonprofits, local governments and lending institutions to provide attendees with a wealth of information on housing programs, financing, and rental and homeownership options.
Affordable Housing Opportunity Means Everyone, a non-profit organization, will host the event, in cooperation with Fairfax, Arlington and Loudoun counties, the Town of Herndon, and the Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA), the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church. NoVA Expo 2012 is underwritten by PNC Bank with Platinum sponsors including Capital One and the Virginia Housing and Development Authority (VHDA).
This is the second annual affordable housing expo sponsored by this collaborative effort. The 2011 Northern Virginia Housing Expo featured more than 100 exhibitors and hundreds of attendees.
